Just 5 weeks til the Nottingham Green Festival but there us still plenty you can do to help keep it a great success. Join us if you can at an organising group meeting on Sunday 12th August at 4pm at Sumac Centre, or on Thursday 23rd Aug at 6pm.
Almost 100 stalls are now booked, inc many exciting new green businesses, vegan caterers, crafters, campaigns & voluntary groups. But there are still many regulars that have not confirmed. Time is running out. Bookings Will End Soon. Please do not miss out! https://nottmgreenfest.org.uk/stall-booking/
We are working towards being the UKs greenest green event. As well as being off-grid, Nottingham Green Festival favours stalls from within 40 miles, features all-vegan catering, encourages minimal waste & has free tea! organic & fairtrade of course. Food waste will be composted and we are working with the caterers to encourage minimal waste & to eliminate single use plastic. However we need more hands to do all the recycling & waste management that is necessary for a free event attracting 5000 people.
We would all so much like to work towards an end to single-use plastics & other disposables. @PlastFreePantry will help share their can-do enthusiasm at the #GreenFestival. You can help too, by joining the volunteer organising co-op, meeting at #SumacCentre at 4pm Sunday. Pls RT. https://t.co/uNMn3on2cv

You may be interested to know that we have created a whole extra fringe festival zone, curated by Punk 4 The Homeless, at the Formal Gardens with addition stall space there and on the path around the cannons.
We’re also hoping for a Peace Picnic garden to launch Nottingham Peace Week and to mark CND’s 60th Anniversary.
Pleased to mark @CNDuk‘s 60th anniversary by welcoming @nottingham_cnd with the CND Symbol Tour to #GreenFestival. We are proposing a Peace Picnic Garden to support Nottingham’s Peace Week & to celebrate that the Green Festival evolved from the Peace Festival in the 80’s pic.twitter.com/Skd9amA1zk
